Folks these days think ‘Oh, it’s ok if our taxes go up because it’ll help the economy!”
Yeah, ok…and hows that working out for ya so far?

But…you had obama’s PROMISE and those of the Democrats that things would be WONDERFUL!!
Alright, here’s the basics: Low taxes lead to more folks wanting to work, because then there’s the tangible rewards of the benefits of the income. The more they get to KEEP, the more discretionary spending and turnover there is. Also, more folks want to fire up their own small businesses.
Now, if you have MORE sources of tax revenue, but lower tax rates, you end up with MORE tax revenue. You have more folks working, and thus spending, and what truly drives an economy is the ACTIVITY. Why do you think Recessions suck and do so much harm? Because folks aren’t spending, and that turnover is the beating heart of the economy.
So, raise taxes…kill the economy and also your tax base, and also strangle essential services. Lower them, and get rid of many, and you have a healthier economy and a solid tax base with which to work.
That’s what the Liberals DON’T want you to know and refuse to acknowledge–and it’s also why Socialism/Communism/etc. do not work.
